Restaurant manager
Description:
The Restaurant Manager oversees, directs, and coordinates the planning, organizing, training, and leadership of the restaurant staff. They follow company standards to achieve stated objectives in guest service and satisfaction, food quality, facility cleanliness and sanitation, sales and costs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the daily operations during scheduled shifts, including:
Ensuring that the floor service runs smoothly and that the staff is working efficiently and effectively
Facilitating the communication between front of house staff and kitchen when appropriate
Directing the restaurant staff to ensure the fulfillment of Aruba Joe’s standards of service
Problem-solve guest incidents or complaints (service issues, check disputes, etc.)
Completing all reporting as required by the office within the time frame given
Attend all management and organization meetings as requested by the General Manager
Complete knowledge of the company's emergency, health and safety procedures
Enforce company policies with regards to human resources and staff welfare
Responsible for the training of new staff, and ongoing support of current staff
Performs other related activities as assigned by the General Manager
Job Requirements:
Positive leadership characteristics, with the ability to inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
Professional personal presentation
University or College Diploma
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a full service restaurant as a manager
Must be fluent in English
Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the company
Able to work with industry standard computer programs such as Microsoft Office, POS systems, etc…
