Line Cook
Description:
The Line Cook is responsible for setting up and stocking the station, preparing for service, and cooking menu items in coordination with the rest of the kitchen staff during the service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Setting up their station to make sure they are prepared for the service hours
Maintaining a clean and stocked station throughout their shift, and follow proper rotation procedures
Ensuring that all food items are prepared according to company standards, including portion sizes and plating standards
Following the company’s established health and sanitation program
Communicate problems and ideas to the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Restaurant Manager
Job Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a full service restaurant as a line cook
Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the company
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to stand on your feet for 8 hours a day
